Name changed in case daughter is on here (I don’t think she is but you never know…) Spending the weekend babysitting my 12 year old granddaughter whilst her parents are away for the weekend. Friday to Monday so quite a commitment. I noticed weight loss injections in the fridge and innocently asked granddaughter if her mum has been on them long. As I didn’t know she was taking them. Granddaughter says mum isn’t using weight loss injections, she has been losing weight by working out at the gym… I laughed, my bad, and said ‘there are injections in the fridge’ and dgd explains that she has been told that these are epi pens for ‘dad’s new allergy’ Oops. she has now googled the brand name and is very miffed that she was lied to. DD is now angry with me for ‘telling her’ but I wasn’t to know; she should have told me it was a secret rather than just assume I wouldn’t notice them in the fridge. AIBU to think it was not my fault and I didn’t do anything wrong?
