Aibu to love all the cool fashion atm? So many baggy pants with oversized shirts, with ballet shoes or flip flops, Adidas shorts with shirts…it just feels more creative and messy and like you could pair bits together and not have to look ‘Done’ I love it

I've always been baggy OP. Always will be. I didn't own a bra til my 40s and my tits started to resemble a spaniels ears.

Oh god 🤣

One advantage to liking what's in fashion is that the shops are on board and there's plenty to choose from. I've never worn skinny trousers (so had a very limited selection to pick from) and I'm loving all the wide-legged linen. My body shape has changed in the last few years, so I'm stocking up on the short boxy tees and jackets and I'll still wear them when out of fashion.

I love fashion.
It’s not about being slavish to trends, it’s finding what you like as silhouettes change, and there’s never a single, set in stone, option. Some dislike its ever changing nature, but it’s just the pursuit of novelty. Even ‘classics’ are always in a state of flux though it’s more subtle.
I think style is easier to have now than ever. Despite everything else speeding up a lot of trends have slowed down to a crawl, just look at how long skinny jeans hung around for, and fashion itself has become much more eclectic. You can work pretty much anything from any era over the last century if it’s done with care and a bit of panache.
This will sound judgy, and it is so I’ll happily own that, but everyone I know who proudly ‘doesn’t follow fashion at all’ looks like they dressed in the dark. In a hurry.
It’s not an excuse to be scruffy.
