Father of the perpetrator hides evidence.

Mohammed Algasim has black hair combed back and a moustache. He is wearing a white shirt and smiling while sitting at a restaurant table.

Man who stabbed student to death in Cambridge is jailed for life

Chas Corrigan, 22, will serve a minimum of 22 years for the murder of Mohammed Algasim last August.

I'm furious about Henry Nowak and I do think his death was caused or worsened by the police hearing the r-word and dismissing him.
And I also find Mohammed Algasim's death really upsetting, another promising young person lost to violent scum, and I feel additionally upset at his parents trusting he would be safe in the UK and him dying violently so far away from them.

In the Gulf they are now warning parents not to send their children to the UK for further education due to the violent crime risks. It's shameful.

Is this related to the Saudi student who tried to murder his lecturer yesterday?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgzg417yxno

Yes, because there is only one Saudi male in the UK ever.

Perhaps if you looked at the names you would have seen they’re different people. Nice way to try to discredit an innocent victim. Shame on you.

There were two attacks involving Saudis at UK universities yesterday - are you saying we shouldn't even ask if they are connected and we should only mention the one in which the Saudi was the victim?

What a silly person you are!

Monetsbridge · 05/06/2026 14:59

This attack was last summer. It was a clearly racist attack on a language student (there are many language programmes teaching English that use residential accommodation around the city during the summer months). It's unrelated to other attacks, apart from further showing the increasing violence and racism in the UK.

You know exactly what you’re doing and I’m not going to give you any legitimacy by even engaging with you about it.

We have protests when a black man dies at the hands, or knee of a white police officer
We have protests when a white, and brown skinned woman die at the hands of a white UK police officer
We have protests/riot when a white man dies at the hands of a brown skinned man and a number of white police meds up.

Meanwhile white girls are raped by white protected males - nothing
Black males and females die at the hands of black criminals - nothing.

It seems clear where the biases is.

Dweetfidilove · 05/06/2026 15:57

Why are so many uni students being murdered? You raise your children to hopefully be decent, valuable members of society and some waster comes and snatches their life away needlessly.

Can't they just kill themselves instead?

DeftGoldHedgehog · 05/06/2026 15:59

So many? It's extremely rare hence every single one makes the news.

Unlike in the states where there are numerous school shootings every single year with multiple deaths.

LuckyHazelFox · 05/06/2026 16:56

Awful crime. Another young man taken before his life could start.

Oh come on ...this poor student was the victim. Two different cases.

TheKittenswithMittens · 05/06/2026 17:04

Life should mean life in these cases.

There have been so many cases of university students being attacked and killed by randoms. Is this random, or are they targeted by resentful people?

I'm thinking of the Nottingham tragedy particularly.

There was also a crossbow attack on a member of university staff by a former student.

Oh she didn’t stop there. She carried on finding other supposed attacks by anyone who is Saudi.

No, there weren't. The attack on the Saudi student happened in Cambridge quite some time ago. His murderer was sentenced yesterday after trial.
