To seek a part time job that’s entirely work from home?

Currently work in education but find travelling to and from work very hard now I have a chronic illness that affects mobility and energy levels.

I’ve only ever had ‘in person’ jobs so have no idea how people find completely WFH jobs. Are there any companies or websites that people would recommend as a starting point?

Happy to consider a career change out of education to facilitate this.

Well, you not being unreasonable to seek a job like that. You'll be limiting your options though of it's a red line for you. There is a trend to go back to the office at the moment, at least for a couple of days a week.

Personally I WFH 3 times a week but quite like going in for the other 2. I like the interaction, and would really like to WFH 100% of the time.

It's not very common now. Local authorities have been slow to go back in the office but nearly everywhere will expect some attendance even if it's just monthly

Work out what job you want to do and why and what skills you have that qualify you for the job then you have a chance of getting a job. Jobs market is brutal ATM. Obviously don't say you are career changing to WFH. Be aware that most jobs require flexibility and aren't going to advertise as specifically WFH.

My friend writes marketing documents solely WFH.

I WFH full time and I love it.

I think it depends on the sort of person you are but I don’t need much in person interaction at all and never really have done.

The company I work for has most roles either fully WFH or hybrid since Covid. Having said that, it’s very tightly managed in terms of performance management so no loafing about!

Could you look at online tutoring? Maybe teaching english, i know somone who does it, all online, and makes good enough money.
