To think this was my cousin?

I’m the least woo person ever. I believe somewhat in heaven and afterlife etc, but I’m definitely a skeptic when it comes tk
spiritual things. Hence, interested to hear from people who have experience of such things or believe in them.

My cousin died recently. We were very close: he was much older than me and when I was younger he’d always go to a certain city for work. I’d never been but always associated it with him.

i ended up there myself recently for a wedding and was waiting for someone in tbe street. I noticed a car pulled up right next to me, and the driver looked like my cousin looked in the 80s, when he worked there. This possibly makes no sense but he didn’t look exactly like him, just similar enough for me to keep looking over. For some reason it felt even more eerie because the slight difference in appearance made me even more aware of other similarities, like posture and facial expressions, which were exactly like my cousin.

I stood in tears for quite a long time because it was like he was right there.

I then took a few steps down the street, looked back to see him once more, and the car was gone. Except it was a one way street and he’d have had to drive past me.

Have others had similar experiences after loved ones passed?

(and no, he definitely didn’t have a secret love child that I’ve stumbled across!)

I'm similar to you, very sceptical but I do sometimes find the universe sends signs! Even if it's my own mind just finding these things, then it's still proof that my loved ones are with me in a way, even if it's just in my heart. I hope that makes sense!

So...do I believe that was a ghost car? No. But for whatever reason, it was your cousin for you in that moment. I hope it brought you comfort, or a smile, or whatever you needed from your cousin at that time.

Those who we love never truly leave us x

Wow 💚

I've got goosebumps from reading that. I'm similar to you: open to the woo woo but not a firm believer/expert. The more I've been open minded, the more strange little things like this happen to me. I'm sure there must be research around this phenomena you could look into.

How strange. Not had the kind of experiences you have had but heard of it on here.

I’m not a woo person at all OP, but whatever that experience was it reconnected you with your dear cousin. Treasure it and I hope it has brought you some comfort.

When my dad died, I saw people that looked liked him everywhere.

I think it's just something that happens, you have this profound sense of loss and maybe disbelief that they aren't around any more, and because they are uppermost in your mind all the time and you want nothing more than to see them, your brain looks for things that will remind you of them.

Your memories are precious. Keep them close xx
