I think there's plenty of racism against people of all ethnicities, including white people, in the UK. Unfortunately, racism seems to be one of those things humans are very prone to. The right wing only seems to care about racism against white people and the left wing only seems to care about racism against non-white people. It would be nice if everyone cared about all kinds of racism (and other bigotry) equally, but unfortunately that rarely seems to happen.

He may have a point though. You should hear what my racist white mum says about Eastern Europeans. But I doubt that's the point you're ineffectively trying to make.

I really think this stuff needs to stop on the left and right of the political spectrum. There's issues surrounding pretty much all races,genders and wealth levels below the absolutely mega rich but pointing fingers is easy and it won't end well for any of us if we continue down this path.

I know I'm not offering in grand solutions but maybe it's time for us to start listening instead of judging even if what's being said is something we disagree with and to respond without malice and anger. It's bloody hard to do that but it's got to be a better route than all this division.

Here are the figures. The bolded part is rather important, don't you think? The population of E&W is about 61.8 m. I am sure you can do the maths...

In the year ending March 2024, there were 140,561 hate crimes recorded by the police in England and Wales – down by 5% compared with the previous year (147,645)

Anyway, it is pretty clear what Yusuf is up to. I don't think he will get the result he is hoping for though. Most people see through it.

Zia is stirring up discontent, giving you an easy target to blame. It's a classic divide and rule political tacktic, used throughout human history. White people are 80% of the population. Racism against white people accounts for 30% of racist incidents.
Or, to put it another way, 70% of the racist incidents in the UK are directed at the 20% of the population who are not white.
Now, I think we can agree, that 70% (directed at non white people) is more than 30% directed at white people?
And that 80% of the population (white people) is greater than 20% of the population (not white people)?
So can you explain to me how this means that white people experience more racism than non white people? Because I'm not sure the per capita thing helps you here in the way you think it does.

I think with such a big claim we need statistics from you / Zia (that's auntie in Italian) to back it up. Got any?

There are statistics to show that Jewish people suffer more racism than Muslim people, in this country, proportionate to their population size, obviously. But that's a very different thing.
