Anyone else’s toddler gone off food since the weather has changed?

Hi,

My 2.5 year old daughter has gone off of her food since the weather has gotten warmer. She’s refusing most things and just wants milk.

Anyone else? She is drinking fluids

She is on the smaller side so I just worry because she loses weight very easily

Yes my 18 month old has started to refuse his food including his fav safe foods. He is a picky eater to begin with...at the moment I'm letting him eat anything as anything is better than nothing. I still do him the same as us but if he doesn't eat it then he gets to pick what he wants. At the moment all he wants is bananas, ice-cream and some cold foods. He has even gone off his cereal which he normally loves. I hope he picks up soon as I already worry if he is even eating enough .

Mine's eaten fruit and sushi today which seems fair because that's all I want to eat

Yes! My youngest has basically grazed fruit and crackers

It’s just been a few days of warm weather??
Are you feeling like eating and drinking foods suited for colder weather? If not then surely your toddler feels the same?

My appetite has gone with the heat. My kids (between 6-13) had to be reminded to eat today to break up paddling pool time. Try not to worry.

Yep, one of mine has always lost his appetite when it’s very warm, I’m exactly the same. I think it’s normal and I wouldn’t worry as long as she’s hydrated, as you say she is.

Make your own ice lollies and then just add some grazing foods.
