Four Seasons Hampshire for half term with children?

Four Seasons Hampshire.

Great reviews online, but a good half term break with 5,8, and 11 year old?

It would be a waste of money for my DC. All they want is a beach to run around on. That hotel is miles from the coast.

It is, but only about a 45 minute drive for us - and we just need/want one half term or holidays without an airport!

There’s plenty of options that would better suit my DC. I can’t speak for yours.
This holiday park at Barton on Sea is lovely and right next to the beach. The New Forest is also close by.

Thanks for bragging about your disposable income.

Bit of a dull area for a holiday. Where are you travelling from?

Love The New Forrest, but done it to death.

Dull area is ok, we have all been so incredibly busy we probably wont leave the hotel.

Just want good outside pool, good food, scenic, and good service.

Lots to do for the younger kids, especially half-term, ours were 2 and 4 and later 4 and 6 when we went. Fantastic fun both times. Perhaps check if your 11 year old and partly 8 year old would enjoy some of the 'older' paid activities (laser tag, archery horse riding?). It's a great break if you all enjoy what's on offer.

You probably wont know the area, so will just say Surrey!

How was the food?

The a la cart food was lovely. Their buffets had an amazing choice of everything. The best way to describe it is easy, everyone found food they liked. Mind you it might be quite busy as it's half-term. Depends on what you are looking for. Overall, it's not a quiet, peaceful break, but very child-friendly and welcoming.

We have been last month to The Fairmont Windsor and having been to both would go to the Fairmont hands down. SO many activities for kids. And the best part is Legoland is just 10 minutes away. We did a day out and came back for spa treatments - absolute bliss.

Lovely hotel - but literally 5 minutes from our house!
