AIBU to whistleblow managers behaviour at my toddlers nursery? I arrived today alongside a few other parents at pickup time. It wasn’t end of the day, this was school run times. It was quite chaotic as the children had been outside doing an activity. They were now all stood in the cloak room/entrance taking off shoes, coats etc. The manager was trying to herd the kids whose parents hadn’t arrived back into the main room, and I could see hear in her voice she was getting agitated. Her voice got louder and more stern. And then she shoved a 3 year old who was stood immediately next to her, grabbed his jumper and his shoulder and moving him where she wanted him to be. This wasn’t taking him by the hand and guiding him. It was quite rough how she did it. Quite forceful. I thought I wonder how his parent would feel knowing he’d just been handled like that. Would I want to know? Would I want someone to stand up for my kid? Another parent also witnessed it and commented to me they too were surprised by how she had acted as we walked away from the building. The child didn’t cry or react really. They went along with the motion. It just hasn’t sat right with me since, and I wonder if I should report this. Would you if you had witnessed that behaviour? I will add we’ve never had an issues or concerns before and our child seems happy there. But this has made me feel uneasy. They preach about a hands off approach to the kids yet here is the manager forcibly moving/shoving a 3 year old. It was an actual shove.
