I'm on a coach. One woman has her legs up on the seat. Ok, the soles of her feet are hanging over the edge just about but it's a short journey. Is it that difficult to sit upright for that short a time?

The woman behind me has been on a call for the past half an hour with the person on the other end of the call heard easily. She's not overly loud but otherwise the coach would be silent which is a rarity.

People putting their bags on seats when the train is full and loads of people are standing and then glare at you when you ask to sit down. People (usually young men/lads) who sprawl across the seats.

Agree it's not polite, but I have never had a problem when I ask to use the space- usually an apology. But I get your point that it's better not to have to ask!
