Ladies why is it when men go out they forget that they have to come home 🤦‍♀️ my OH is out since 12 today at an occasion and I told him I’d pick him up in a few hours (I came home at 12) and I’m still waiting on the call to pick him up!! Texted him to know if he had a time in mind and he left me on read 😳🤨 I want to relax with a glass of wine and watch tv not be sitting here waiting on him! I’m so mad. Think I’ll just tell him to get a taxi at this stage right??

They arranged to pick him up a few hours after they dropped him at 12 - it was 7.30 and he waant responding

I hope that you are able to relax and enjoy your wine.

I think I’m the odd one out here thinking it’s a bit harsh. I can imagine someone saying they were out, they didn’t let their husband know a time but said they’d pick them up, but when it came to it he said “you didn’t reply so I had a beer, get a taxi” wouldn’t get the same responses

If he didn't reply and read the message, he can get fucked 😂 That's the height of ignorance

Is he home yet?

Whiteheadhouse · 04/05/2026 21:46

We teach people how to treat us, and you have somehow given him the message that you will tolerate him being rude and disrespectful of you and your time.

Well done for opening the wine.
Perhaps have a look at how much you let slide.

They get worse not better if you don't have firm boundaries.

“As I’ve not heard from you and I too would like some evening to relax, i’ll assume you’re getting a cab. Have fun and see you later.”

It’s so disrespectful to just leave you on read.

This.

Silverbirchleaf · 04/05/2026 21:58

Surely he would have given you an indication as to when the event finished and what time he needed picking up? Or you could just have rung him and asked.

helpmelosemybigbelly · 04/05/2026 22:02

I wonder what time he gets back

Cocktailglass · 06/05/2026 17:52

We say if not ready to come by a time then it's a taxi.

How did this play out in the end @Lill1e ?

Did he ever respond, even after you opened the wine? Was he apologetic or entitled enough to be miffed that his lift wasn’t an open ended offer?
