Cheeselets. Ruined.

I need to inform you of a terrible, terrible thing. They’ve ruined cheeselets.

I bought a multipack with much excitement. Previously I’d bought multipacks in b&m or similar whenever I’d seen them. For a while they’ve been missing.

i often buy big bags but only Tesco appear to sell them. I am unsure if current stocks of big packs of old style cheeselets are available. In the home counties if you go and check and buy out the stock I will hunt you down.

New cheeselets are fake Doritos cheese type flavour. They are no longer slightly puffy and flaky. They are now hard and uniform.

if they fuck with treeselets we must riot.

Smarties have a weird outer shell and the chocolate is crap.
Not the same as the tubes with the letter inside the lid..70s.

Really? So it's not a blip and they are now what everyone used to tell me they were and that's dry, disgusting twigs 😞

id happily pay more and buy things slightly less frequently if they would just leave things the hell alone. Or publish the intense market research and customer and analysis that backs up the taste and design choices.

I bought a bag expecting to taste the original taste of Cheeselets we I have enjoyed for years 50+ well not anymore this combo of a mini cheddar and a cheese let is bloody awful. I have wasted £2 buying a bag but never again, unless I see the original blue bag containing the real Cheeselet my enjoyment will end. Typical meddling with a well established product has been screwed up, so stick your new mini cheddar cheeselet d

I am a mini cheddar addict. If Jacobs come for them next I’m not sure what I’ll do.

M&S teacakes are not to my liking any more. They’re much softer and gooier, I like a little bit of resistance. They’re more like Tunnocks now, which is fine, but I like to have the choice of different styles. I wonder if they are now made by Tunnocks?

Bizarrely I stole a couple of my son’s quavers today and they had a different texture too? Definitely harder and less melty. What’s going on!

I've been munching on these since childhood, the snides have ruined everything, even adding sugar to these frauds,I am absolutely effin clucking for my old chums, bring them back ASAP!

Coming back to this thread and I tried twiglets - they are like cardboard. I actually spat them out!

The M&S version of mini eggs - M&S Chocolate Speckled Eggs - are pretty nice. Especially the orange flavoured ones.

New Twiglets are grim, I loved the proper, old ones. There must be a substantial market for an 'As It Was' food range. I would absolutely pay a bit more to have snacks I actually want to eat. Someone should do this!

Tesco still do a pretty good approximation of what used to be called Cheese Savors - you know those very small cheese flavoured biscuits in different shapes.

These are pretty lush though pricey, I get them in for Christmas usually.

Certain flavours of Monster Munch are now made with added chickpea flour. I wonder if that’s happened to Quavers too. I mean, I like chickpeas, but not in crisps ffs!

Some snide whizkid has changed a near century old recipe, and added SUGAR ffs! completely negating the cheesy/savoury deliciousness! I'm up for rioting, as an email I urgently sent has been blanked!👊

Has any one had Jacob’s Cornish wafers recently? They used to be flaky and buttery - this latest pack were hard and greasy. The ingredients don’t seem to have changed but they’ve definitely done something to them!
