.... that the mother who lets her sons throw a beach ball around, shouldn't wait for the bloody lifeguard to confiscate it before she says something? and then she (the mother)has a go at her (the lifeguard) for tkaing it off them !!
btw, it nearly hit dd on the head who isn't really that confident a swimmer atm and it nearly hit a baby as well. these boys were obv a lot older and look like they should've been in school. this had to happen at least three times before something was said (cue glares from fm to lifeguard and thinking when are you going to say something woman?)

don't we all remeber when our dc's were diddiy? even dc's a year older looked huge.

My son is six years old, but he cannot touch the bottom of the big pool although he can swim. In someways a six year old who can swim is more danger than child who is less confident. My son has a completely over inflated opinon of his swimming ablity. Its terrifying.

I have met mothers who think that my son should not be allowed in the learner pool. Small boys should be allowed to splash and make noise within reason, but not throw balls.

I think that many mothers of small children are useless at estimating the ages of older children. The children might well be younger than you think especially if you took your daughter during school hours.

Its a beach ball. Lighter-than-light. Calm yourself.

It sounds a little PFB to be honest.. it didn't even hit your DD. And even if it had, well the worst that would happen would be she would get a little fright. Hardly the end of the world, really.

I mean this in a nice way, I promise
