Local 'boutique' selling Shein clothes

My local independent clothes shop put a post on Instagram showing 2 new pieces they had in. I really like them and went in to have a look. I didn't have time to try on so said I would be back next week.
Here I am mindlessly browsing Shein and lo and behold there are the dresses I had seen earlier for a third of the price
AiBU that a local independent 'boutique' should not be selling Shein clothes or am I out of touch?

You would spend £40 on a dress that's £10 on Shein just because you can try it on first?

Where did I say that? Confused

I just said that there's an advantage to buying in person, that's all.

Sheins returns are so easy and free. The reviews are very helpful as people even post pictures wearing the the items they have purchased.

I have only bought from Shein once but that was enough. I ordered two dresses one took weeks to come the other didn't turn up at all. It was a nightmare to get my money back so I gave up in the end. The dress that didn't turn up was poor quality and much too small.

To be honest places like Shein and Temu are just wholesalers.
Unless actually handmade all retailers buy from wholesalers.

Tiktok is full of the same Chinese tat being sold on Shein.

keep getting an ad on facebook for wolf & badger selling a shein jumper for something like £75 & claiming its made in the UK.

I guess its just very easy for people to buy from the same factories or even the likes of Shein/Temu/Tiktok & sell it on
