AIBU to take my daughter to A&E for fracture review?

Posting for traffic. So last Saturday my DD7yo broke her arm when we were away visiting friends. She had surgery to reset and the orthopedic surgeon instructed many times to get the arm looked at by local orthopedic on days 7 and 14 to ensure all healing well. I've spent all week trying to get DD into the health system locally (very complicated, not UK). Today (day 6 since injury) via GP, DD had an xray to get a lay of the land and the breaks are still visible, one of the bones not quite aligned. The GP referred DD on to the local fractures team, reiterating the need to be looked at asap.
Here is my AIBU:

YABU: DD is now in the system, just wait until the local fractures clinic calls on you (could be up to 3 weeks, by which time time has passed if need to rectify by way of operation)

YANBU: Go sit in local A&E on Saturday morning and wait for arm to be looked at, hopefully some time that day.
If it helps, local hospital is 7 mins away.

You say you're not in the UK, which makes it hard to say whether YABU or not. If you were in the UK, I would say don't take her to A&E, but the things you can go to A&E for vary a lot from country to country and without knowing how your local health system works, I don't think anyone can really advise you.

Yeah depends on the country. Here (UK) it would be a waste of time. You'd sit in A and E for 12 hours waiting to be seen only for them to tell you that the fracture clinic doesn't run at the weekend and you're already in the system so will get a referral through them.

Thanks for the comments - it was appreciated and helped pull me out of the worry spiral. I ended up calling the outpatient department at the hospital on Sat morning and they confirmed that the clinic was closed for the weekend, so even if I presented DD to A&E, they'd turn me away. I then called the outpatient clinic first thing on Monday morning (yesterday), and I received a call back 2hrs later to say my daughter had been triaged, and to bring her in. All looked good on the arm, and she's now firmly in the system: happy days.

For anyone reading this who lives in Australia and someone breaks a bone NOT in their home jurisdiction, don't waste time trying to join the dots between the two hospitals yourself, just make an appointment with your GP and they can do the work. Also, demand as much paperwork and take photos of xrays AT THE TIME of being treated.
