Gave in my notice today at work, Management ignoring me & close Work Colleague being very off with me as I didn’t tell her I was job searching & told Management first and according to her I was out of order for that 🤷‍♀️ so AIBU to think Management are being unreasonable & close work colleague who I work with is being more than unreasonable.

Ridiculous behaviour from your colleague, of course you tell mgmt first. And managed sound unprofessional.

But who cares, you’ll never see these people again once you leave. Keep your head down and ignore the silliness. You owe them nothing other than working your notice.

When I was planning to leave local government to go to uni I only told two close colleagues and they were sworn to secrecy. One was my referee and the other I didnt work alongside. I prefer to keep my business close to my chest. It came as a bit of a shock when I resigned.

I wouldn't even work my notice under those circumstances.

I agree.
If they cannot remain professional I wouldn't be putting myself out for them.

It really is none of your colleagues business.

Well, I mean you've not exactly been subtle by bunking off sick to go to the interview, so they have probably worked it out for themselves. If you want a good reference from your manager then you probably want to just grit your teeth, work your notice and count down the days until you get out of there. If you flounce early (and your new job is subject to satisfactory references) then it might bite you in the bum.
