Dressing table teen girls

AIBU to think that not all well not even most teenage girls have a designated table for their beauty stuff? Dd's room is small and she has to make do with a tall Ikea malm chest of drawers to store her beauty products keep her mirror etc.
Dd14 is in a huge huff and says all her friends have dressing tables and it's an absolute embarrassment not have one and no, a drawer unit does not count apparently.

So do your teen girls have one? If not how do they possibly cope?

YABU - get the girl a dressing table and get rid of the drawers
YANBU - Malm drawers are ok for this

My daughter has one as she has the biggest room. I don't have one.

My teenagers have one in there room and in a honesty they use it al the time. Does it do my head in because it’s apparently perfectly disorganised which is just how they like it. They know where everything is, how I haven’t a clue 🤦🏻‍♀️ but it’s very well loved and used. We’ve just got an Ikea white one with a chair and a mirror on the wall. They have compartment boxes for the drawer and jars for the top for their brushes etc however like I said it is organised chaos. I personally think a dressing table isn’t a must but I do think it’s a nice thing to have for most teenage girls, I say girls because my boys wouldn’t want one x

Both of my girls have them and I've always had one

My 10 year old has one, my 12 year old doesn’t but she doesn’t want one. I wouldn’t put a desk and a dressing table in one room, that would be odd.

I think a dressing table is lovely if there’s enough space, but it’s definitely not a must-have. A small room can look just as nice with a mirror and a little storage for all her bits and pieces. There are some lovely compact dressing tables at Dream Home Store too, if anyone’s looking for ideas! ❤️

Do you have hair too and a hairdryer?

Sadly no. If i had hair there would be 3 different types of hair grease though like there was when I was a teen

Would DD find a fishing tackle box type of make up storage box useful? Coupled with a make up mirror with lights on her desk, or a wall mounted mirror and a pretty decorative cushion for her chair she could easily adapt her drawers or desk into a dressing table for months at a time.

Second hand furniture shops have the most divine old dressing tables.

Dd has one with a Hollywood mirror on but it’s also her desk. I got the one from Ikea which is basically two drawer units and you add a top on it. It’s brilliant because you can change just the top and they are only about £35. Dd is a scruffy bugger and I always staining or burning it with some heated hair device so it’s a nice easy fix.

I bought this for a really specific small space a few years ago and it’s great. Would something like this fit? Not a lot of drawer space but you could add drawers beside it if need be? It’s from the Futon Company.
