To think that Vinted is a lawless scam ?

I have sold an item on Vinted and the seller claimed part of it was missing - it wasn’t it was in the parcel . Vinted answer was for her to keep the item and get a refund .
Today I have bought something on Vinted .. the item is missing parts . Asked the buyer and they said yes it was missing those parts - so I can return . But I have to return at my expense! For an item that is not as described and useless .
Vinted answer - return it at your cost .
So whatever your problem is and no matter how much evidence you provide Vinted provides no protection ?
There is no escalation process and all answers are met with basically it’s your problem!

It seems no matter which way Vinted always goes against me, currently dealing with damaged item. I suspect it was fine when posted but it’s a wooden toy sent in a paper bag with no packaging to protect it and arrived in pieces. Yet I sent something wrapped each part individually in bubble wrap then the box in bubble wrap and put it in a bag, when it arrived the buyer claimed it was damaged and got to keep the item and a refund as it was found to be inadequately packaged but Vinted would not tell me how I should have packed it to be deemed adequate. This particular buyer had reviews saying it’s a scam they are pulling as done exactly same to others.
I don't sell on Vinted will only buy now.

Update - Vinted were useless as suspected . Emailed them - recounted all the facts that seller had admitted fault . They still said I had to pay return ! I’ve now been let down on Vinted as both a buyer and seller . Their customer service is appalling and very arbitrary. You can’t win . Does put me off .
