AIBU to wonder if my teen can attend the theatre alone?

I’ve booked my daughter two tickets for a show for her birthday (special under 25’s price) for her and a friend. I’ve just gone to print them out to give her on her birthday and seen it says under 16s must be sitting next to an over 18, trying to decide what to do.

I can’t buy a seat next to them now there’s nothing left, so…..
can I send them alone? Do theatres ID’d teens? Will a ticket in a different section do? I definitely can’t pass for under 25 to go with her. It’s the Edinburgh playhouse.

Surely they can just say (if asked) mum is already inside/ I'm meeting mum by the ice cream stand etc and no one is going to kick them out and the staff won't have the time to check where they're actually sat/ who's next to them.

Going round in circles with this, because could they not just then tell them to phone me because I need to come and meet them?

DS was asked for ID at 16, at the Leeds Grand Theatre.

I've known teens turned away from west end shows for not having an adult with them.

God I had to sit through mamma Mia for this reason the 3 girls were 14/15. No one cared or checked so wished I had let them get on with it!
