AIBU to think the sexualised baby imagery from Euphoria is a safeguarding concern?

I haven’t watched the new season, but I’ve seen the images and clips circulating on Facebook of Sydney Sweeney’s character dressed as a baby (pacifier, baby clothes, childlike styling) in a sexualised context.

As a mum of daughters and a grandmother to baby girls, I found it deeply uncomfortable. Infantilisation is something we explicitly teach young people to recognise as a grooming tactic. Seeing it presented as entertainment — and then shared widely on social media — feels like it undermines those safeguarding messages.

AIBU to think this isn’t just ‘edgy TV’, but something that could genuinely blur boundaries for teens who are still learning what’s appropriate?

She's doing only fans in the plot. It's really sad and a bit cringey to be fair. It should only be for 18+ though with the content.

it all felt a bit grubby to me - and unnecessary

Apparently the writer has form for this type of stuff. Casting young actresses into grubby roles. Pretty grim. I hadn't even thought about the age rating but I suppose if younger people want to watch it they'll always find a way. What I've seen is some social platforms asking if she went too far. And men, grown men commenting that she didn't go far enough.
