Class and exercise

Is there a correlation?

I live in a wealthy, tourist area. Have been for my usual dog walks this week and many people on holiday. So many of them running, working out, bike rides daily…on holidays. This is personally not what i’d do on holiday-maybe a fun bike ride with the kids.
I notice it with wealthy clients I work for, their lives are very disciplined and scheduled in comparison to mine, the morning juices, skipping meals, nightly run etc.
Growing up, we didn’t do this, my dad played squash and football, my mum did Mr motivator videos and swam.
My family now don’t do sports or go running etc, we swim in summer and walk the dogs

Is everyone else incorporating more disciplined time for exercise in their lives and do you even on holiday?

Wondering if this is a thing more with wealthier people and why?

It does make me feel I should be making more of an effort and does interest me in the sense of how successful, motivated people seem to live in this way more than others?

I go for more exercise on holiday probably as I'm not at work and have the energy to peel myself out of bed/away from the telly. Feeling fresher it's much easier to not talk myself out of it!

I'm not wealthy but I do work out on a holiday. I would even go as far as to look for holiday accommodation which is within walking distance to a CrossFit gym.
I come from a non-sporty family - and poverty background - there was never any money for clubs or gym when I was going up so exercising wasn't something I experienced as a child except for PE lessons. But I always cycled and did cross country skiing in winter which was just what all kids did with their mates rather than in an organised setting.
I do CrossFit and dance. Both cost a lot of money, much more expensive than a pure gym membership. So, of course, this won't be accessible to a lot of people who need to budget more carefully.

I think it depends on work. I work a lot and genuinely don't have time for exercise apart from school runs. On holiday I do more.exercise as I have more time. I don't think that's a class thing because you could be working 90 hours a week in a min wage job or in a £200k job. Middle class women may have more ability to not work. My street is full of SAHMs who choose not to work and spend their days doing yoga and training for various events.

I always work out on holiday. I might reduce the length of my longest run but only not to annoy my partner and son. If they weren't there, I'd do the full distance.

Exercise isn't punishment. So why would I stop on holiday?
