If you wake your neighbours by hosting a party

It should be a law that if you wake your neighbours up at silly o'clock because you're having a party, at full volume outside, you should have to invite those neighbours to the party.

I don't actually want to go but I do think they at least owe me a bloody drink or two given their shit attempts at karaoke and apparently inability to know their limits are the reason I'm at up before 4am.

Anyone else got inconsiderate neighbours.😢

Who has a party like that on a Tuesday 😳.

I’ve no problem with the occasional Friday/ Saturday party as long as it’s quiet by 12ish. But your neighbours are seriously taking the piss OP!

Do you not ever go round and complain or call th police?

Oh yes. That’s how I know the parents don’t care 😂

We have phone the police on them, and so have other neighbours, and I actually threatened to press charges over the ketchup on my car as it had striped the paint. They paid to have it sorted as I had evidence it was them from our cameras at the front of the house. That we actually have because our other neighbour is an alcoholic and crashed into my husbands car when parking 🤦🏻‍♀️. Can’t imagine why we want to move actually now I’m writing it down.

Have you a whistle @PowerTrip
If so, use it outside at regular intervals today 😀

PowerTrip · 08/04/2026 18:16

Sadly no whistle but of the neighbours who were off with their children today several spent the day in the garden and there was a noticeable increase in their children screeching and not being told to settle down compared to normal. So I'm guessing several of us were disturbed enough to want revenge.

I've not seen the loud neighbours since this morning but I'm hoping the warm weather doesn't mean they will have a repeat of last night.

Were they singing Rhinestone Cowboy at 3.30am?

menopausalmare · 08/04/2026 18:20

Next time it happens, put up shelves with a hammer drill at 5.30am.

Sadly that wouldn't have impacted these neighbours as they are not attached to us. It's tempting though.

They appear to have now gone inside, no doubt to sleep off their fabulous hangovers whilst the rest of the street has to face their days on no sleep. In these circumstances it's acceptable to let small children out to play and to mow the grass before 7am right?

Children out to play at first light. Mow the lawn with a petrol mower and lots of loud swearing. Power wash the patio. To be honest I’d be borrowing some power tools merely for the purposes of pissing them off!
