Stopping breastfeeding :(

I just finished breastfeeding my 20 month old and wanted some advice on how it’s going to feel? This is my second and most likely my last baby, and I will never breastfeed again.

I was relieved to be finished and not be constantly touched. I did breastfeed my eldest for 2yrs so that also played a part. I also had to stop so I could take medication that I could not take whilst breastfeeding.

My LO wanted to be held like she was feeding whilst sucking her thumb. Still need my bed back but then I know I will miss it when they are older

I fed all of my kids past a year and it tailed off naturally. Each time I was pleased I had done it but was also pleased that it was over.

Edited to add that its 18 years since I stopped and I have never once thought "I wish I was still breast-feeding" but I do still occasionally wish that I had a toddler to share bedtime stories with.

14m into my 3rd stint and I'm ready to be done but there is a certain sadness attached to it as well since this is likely to be my last baby.

It can be a very emotional time. Are you ready to stop ?

Theres not any set way to feel, I’m sure you know. I was glad when I stopped with my last but she was getting close to 4 and it was definitely time. It was very strange though, and with both my kids I felt there was an element of learning how to parent without using BF. It solved all ills and I remember feeling ‘do I know how to comfort them without this?’ But I did, and it was fine.
