It's a complicated one due to benefits I get but will try to lay it out best I can without being bias or outing.
I was TUPEd to my role exactly 2 years ago. Had a payrise shortly before that. But in my contract it says payrise review every June, which (not in the contract) Was usually inflationary payrises. So I missed the payrise that June 2024, June 2025 and coming up will be June of 2026. I was also part of a bonus scheme there, awarded every April. It wasn't due that year due to closing a failing branch and lumping the loss onto out brach, but I know they did get the 25% bonus the April after.
The tupe rules are that I can't be any worse off by the transfer. I can see i 100% am worse off. I dont think I can arge the bonus as it want awarded the year I left and in this company it is only awarded to the very senior staff. But inflationary payrise I feel I am owed.
I spoke to my immediate boss, who I knew from a previous company, back in Dec. She then set a performance review meeting for me in Feb. Saying I could there justify my work and meriting a payrise. This got pushed back and back and now no meeting in the calendar.
I'm one of the best at what I do and over many contracts, including ones I have worked on for this company I have found tens of thousands of pounds that the previous staff in my role have missed from payment applications. My bosses now also seem to recognise this, they have said I'm really strong, capable and have recently asked for my CV to put forward as a plus point in a recent tender, which we won and I will now be working on. I feel I shouldn't even need a meeting to justify my payrise, all I am asking for is an inflationary payrise, not a promotion. That sounds fare right, best at my role compared to the rest, so feel I got a strong point to argue my case.
Here is where it gets complicated. I look at current roles. The lower end of salary usually starts at the £45k-£55k mark plus car allowance. I'm on £42k plus car allowance, but most car allowance is at least less than half mine. I'm also getting way more holiday days than those in my current company and other companies. They get 21 plus bank holidays, I get 28 and will rise next year and 1 after to 30. I also get to work from home in my current role for 4 days a week. So saving money there. Also in previous roles my job been at risk over and over but this company had the work load. Another thing is a different boss to ones I am dealing with now has said 2 years back I am now one of their highest paid staff. They are less generous than most companies so less likely to want to pay more for me.
Will I be putting my job at risk if I push this? With the benefits I outlined above, I can not just go elsewhere. If they say no, I can either just accept it or go elsewhere and loose my holiday days, time served, security as they have a lot on, working from home so massive travel costs
