DD (22) DH and I are all members of the same gym/health club.
6 months ago, not long after DD joined, she came home upset as a much older man had made some absolutely disgusting comments about women while they were in the sauna (some others were also in there), and then when she got up to leave as she was uncomfortable, he made a direct revolting comment to her.
At the time she raised this as she left with the reception who said they were aware of the man, he had MH issues, and they were “working with him on behaving appropriately”. She came home and told us, and the next day DH went in and raised this again stating it wasn’t an acceptable response and that he didn’t feel it had been handled properly. They then advised us he was banned.
Fast forward to yesterday, DD comes home to tell us he walked into the sauna when she was in there, and she has heard from others he was given a 6 month ban which has now run out and he has been allowed back in. She said he was approaching women to chat and although clearly he has MH challenges, she didn’t feel comfortable so left.

I am quite shocked they have allowed him back given what he said to her, which was vile. I want to email them a complaint as I know I will struggle to articulate myself if I do it in person. Should I?!

I find Men tend to be the issue. No amount of beeeee kind, he probably doesn't understand what he's doing/he just likes you/what did you expect by wearing a swimming costume around them tends to protect from the sexually motivated or increased risk of violence from them.

OK, so you're just being incendiary.

Ignore this everyone. Nothing to see here.

That is an act of sexual harassment and I would most definitely report it to the police and gym, quoting EXACTLY what he said and in my view THREATENED.

Disgusting behaviour that she doesn't have to accept.

I’m glad it’s not just me, I’m still so angry that they allowed him back, it’s disgusting!

Definitely the police and let the gym know you have reported it to them.
