Rather then throw it away?

stupid twunt Dh got a beer out of the fridge last night while watching yet another boring game of football (I had an early night with my book)and he left the blardy fridge door open.

Everything is ruined, my trifle is a gooey mess so in the bin or over his head

Mumsnet you decide...........

I manage to miss BB with no trouble whatsoever.

Flashman · 18/06/2008 12:39

exactly so how hard is it to miss footie?

GumsAndRoses · 18/06/2008 12:42

Very hard in the GumsAndRoses household

It wouldn't be so bad if he picked one team and followed them, but no he has to watch and see what the "opposition" is like

OP posts:
fawkeoff · 18/06/2008 12:45

why dont you sit yer arse down with him while he watches the footie......drink his beer, swear, fart, burp and scratch ur fanjo .....if you can beat em join em

GumsAndRoses · 18/06/2008 12:50

Could do fawkeoff and scream "oi ref" every couple of seconds along with "go on my son" and a few "OH ffs who's side are you on"...see I'm learning

fawkeoff · 18/06/2008 12:53

GAR thats the great thing with this Euro - England are not there, you can pick and choose!!!

GumsAndRoses · 18/06/2008 13:05

Ok so the general consensus is

Tip ruined trifle over Dh's head

Develope interest in football

Drink Dh's beer while scratching fanjo

Swear copiously at the games on tv

Run round room with norks out and shirt over head, screaming like a bitch when ball enters any net?

That sound about right???

OP posts:
fawkeoff · 18/06/2008 13:08

i want to come to ur house and run round with my norks out!!!!!!!!!!

OrmIrian · 18/06/2008 13:08

We have developed a football regime in our house which involved DH clearing every one out of the sitting room who doesn't want to watch the footie (usually everyone) and opening a beer. We all go off to do our various things. DH yells abuse at TV, everyone else rolls their eyes or shouts at him to stop swearing. We all go to bed.

Flashman · 18/06/2008 13:14

GAR - That sounds like it would improve the view experience. May I suggest haybe at half time - would save having to listen to Mary Poppins and the crap he comes out with!!!

OrmIrain - Sounds perfect!!

GodzillasBumcheek · 18/06/2008 21:50

Flashman - i don't object to people watching footie.
I object to shows i want to watch being displaced for however many weeks it's on
I would object to the only telly in the house being hogged by the footie watcher (except thatnobody wants to watch it in our house)
And i generally don't understand the attraction. That's all.

Flashman · 18/06/2008 22:29

So would you suggest that the Euros are arranged round Eastenders???

FFS it is three weeks every 2 years!!!

GodzillasBumcheek · 18/06/2008 22:38

GOD NO not Eastenders - soaps are shit too

Flashman · 18/06/2008 23:46

what are you missing that is making life hard?

GodzillasBumcheek · 20/06/2008 09:55

Oh i was slightly annoyed that itv cut one episode entirely of Pushing Daisies (cut the second episode out of the series entirely) because they had to finish the series before the footie started

Other than that i think it's a waste of space (as is BB) and wish it were kept to sports channels only. I manage to ignore it usually.
