Just that really. Im tired all the time. Work 35 hours a week at a mentally and emotionally demanding job. Its half 6 and I'm in bed. Im sick of feeling like this.

Have you/anyone here found an iron and b12 supplement that is gentle on the stomach? My ferritin, iron and b12 are low and I've spent over £100 on supplements and they all make me horribly sick.

I have used something called Gentle Iron from the health food shop. It hasn't had the alarming effects on my digestion that standard iron supplements have 😬

What is your lifestyle like around work. Do you eat well and drink plenty of water? Water and good nutritious food make such a difference to my energy levels. Do you drink alcohol. Giving that up transformed my life.

I don't often reply but this really resonated OP - I am similar (And have been for months, thinking " I do feel really tired - surely this isn't normal"), and I've just got a full set of blood tests done

this article pushed me to finally going to the GP: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/nov/02/why-do-i-feel-tired-iron-deficiency-symptoms-anaemia-fatique-exhaustion

it's about iron deficiency, but , as other posters said, you can also experience fatigue from several other things such as low Vitamin D or B12, or magnesium, or underachieve thyroid etc

I can post the list of blood tests I got, if it helps, @Toucan22 ? (results in a week!!!)

edit: just to add - for those with low iron, the article mentions IV iron and why it might work much faster (and bypasses stomach so fewer side effects) so worth looking into if you've been diagnosed with low iron and if iron tablets not working for you

Tired all the time? There may be a simple reason for that

Levels of fatigue among women in Britain are soaring, and this isn’t the kind that can be cured by a nap. What lies behind the exhaustion epidemic?

What's your lifestyle like? Meals, sleep, exercise, general health, caring responsibilities etc.

Because 35 hours a week isn't a huge amount, so to be taking to your bed so early with exhaustion suggests it has to be caused by something else?

Just be careful with B12. I took a combined iron and other supplements along with a B12 and I was stupidly doubling the B12. Plus I probably had plenty in my diet. I was trying to take care of myself but gave myself toxic levels of B12. I had weird fizzy fingertips and felt all jangly. Stopped as soon as I stopped the B12 but they don't warn you!
