Pull child out of nursery

I have two kids under 2years old. 6month old & 2y7month old. 2 year old goes to nursery 3 times a week when we are at work and he often catches viruses so we are all sick a LOT. He had a fever 15 times last year… just took him to the GP today who has prescribed antibiotics for a throat infection….
AIBU to take him out to avoid sicknesses or am I delaying the inevitable when he starts school? Am I just unlucky? I’m soooo exhausted. Don’t know if I’m doing the right thing - and 6 month old is meant to start when he’s 14 months old….

What about a smaller setting like a childminders?
Less children to catch bugs off!

I mean I think it’s inevitable. Mine caught chicken pox as soon as they started school.

You either get it at nursery or you get it at school in my experience.
sorry

How would you work though? Are you just talking about changing childcare settings?

I've heard if they don't get it at nursery they do at school, but that wasn't the case for us. They were fine starting school. I think they have worse hygiene at 2 and spread things more than they do at school age.

I agree with this. Also, they have had a chance to build immunity slowly and gently from trips to the park etc.
