A regular website that I use back home has banned me due to the IP address. Can this be changed back to the ip address that I use at home

Just download a free VPN like Tunnel Bear and then set your location in the app to your home country while using the website.

I cannot download that because I cannot use Google play. Google play is asking gor a password. J think the best thing is to contact EE and ask for their help.

If the website is blocking IP's, it's because they want to deny service to people in whichever country you are currently in. EE won't be able to do anything about that because it's entirely in the hands of the people overseeing the site itself.

There are tons of free VPN's, Opera browser has a built-in VPN. Like PP said, use one of these to set your location to your home country and bypass the site's IP restrictions.

Just a note, OP. While the obvious thing is to use a VPN, a few countries have made them illegal. If you're in China, there are VPNs that will work for you but you run the (slim) risk of being caught during a government sweep.

If you're in DPRK, you probably can't use your phone internationally anyway but for god's sake don't download a VPN!

You haven't got a Google password?!

Set up a Gmail account, then log in using that.

No. The IP address is generated from the network you’re connected to (ie the WiFi you’re using or the phone network you’re using abroad). You can’t use the IP address you have at home because you aren’t connected to your home WiFi.

As a previous poster as said - you can download a VPN and use that to connect from a UK location.

You must have a password for Google Play if you’ve ever downloaded an app before. If you can’t remember it look for an option that says something like ‘forgot password’ or ‘recover password’ and follow the steps from there.

EE can’t do anything about the IP address or give you access to Google Play. It’s nothing to do with them.

I never connect my phone to my WiFi at home. I always browse independently of any WiFi network so I roam. Ive got roaming set up for the country I am in so that I can get online without having to keep hooking up to WiFi. The only tine I hooked up to WiFi was when I was in a cafe and I couldn't get online so I used the WiFi of tge cafe, but generally I dont. I never used to roam but one year abroad I was travelling on a train to meet someone and the train broke down and I couldn't use my phone to let the person know I was stuck. I decided always to have roaming when abroad

None of that is relevant. The point is that when you use your phone, you are connecting to a network - if you don’t use WiFi, you’re using the signal from the nearest 3G / 4G / 5G phone mast instead, so when you’re travelling, that mast will be in the country you’re in. Therefore that will generate an IP address automatically.

EE can’t change that for you. It’s nothing to do with them.

You need to sort your password for Google Play and download a VPN, then set it to UK.
