AIBU are Pregnacare him and her conception tablets worth it?

We had a miscarriage that was only discovered at the 12 week ultrasound so are keen to do everything possible to avoid any problems next time.

We have bought 3 months worth of them but is there anything else we can do?

I'm so sorry for your loss. Can only speak from experience - I've had 2 miscarriages and then I sadly lost my twins at birth - nicu death - 2 years ago. In those three pregnancies I used pregnacare for one, it didnt cause the losses or help them. So it wont do you any harm. I did find pregnacare lengthed my cycle though.

Whilst vitimins are good. All you need is folic acid and sometimes vit d. I've since had a dd, she is 11 months and I'm 33 weeks pregnant now. I only used folic acid. That was by choice though. The vits are good for you though as your iron. B12 and vit d can be low during pregnancy or after losses.

In terms of anything else, there isn't anything you can do other than just eat well and try to de-stress though thats so bloody hard after the grief of loss and trying again. There's nothing you did that caused your losses. And it really is out of your hands. When my twins died - the complication that happened had a 0.01% chance. We were just the very rare rare exception

So sorry to hear about your experience :-(
I saw that the pregnacare tablets can extend your cycle. What does this really mean?
Reassuring to hear you have got pregnant successfully just taking folic acid.
Light at the end of ten tunnel hopefully :-)

For me my ovulation was later and cycle was longer so for example 28 days went to 33. Dont let me turn you off it though. So many women have positive experiences on it, I just decided to cut back to basics. Yeah I conceived Dd 8 months after my boys died. And unexpedidly found out I was expecting 3 months after she was born. This is such a rough time for you. I completely understand. The grief is so hard. Its been two years and I still struggle going out to my sons grave. Did you get any support after your loss? X

I started taking Pregnacare after 4/5 months of ttc without any success. I took it for just over a month and it really messed up my cycle. My period was delayed and I found I was experiencing really bad cramps and pms so I stopped taking it. However, the month after I stopped I fell pregnant with my little one. I don’t know if it was the pregnacare or the fact that I was convinced my cycle would need to return to normal before I’d get pregnant. It was almost like there was no pressure that month as I didn’t think it could happen.
Wishing you the best of luck OP

This is really worrying. We started yesterday and I had aches in my stomach overnight that I assumed were still miscarriage cramps.
I hadn't had any for about 4 days.

I understand the thing about no pressure.
I did not have any pressure ish before I got pregnant. Now since I lost the baby it's all I can think about so have started retrying despite only miscarrying 2 weeks ago

That's understable. I only started counselling this year so it can take time. Just keep talking and venting. It does help.
