Whitewashing when it suits

Watching the frankly jaw-dropping Dirty Business and aside from the obvious horrific dramatised implications, I can't help seeing that all protagonists, apart from the sub-minor character of the ironically-named Mr Lazarus, are white.

The BBC have made so many programmes inclusive, AIBU to even recognise C4's approach?

This is about promoting accurate and proportionate representation to ensure all children, young people, parents and communities are represented, heard and listened to.

It's based on real events so could it be that protagonists were white in real life? And if that is indeed the case, I am not sure I feel comfortable with performative diversion and inclusion.

AIBU to even recognise C4's approach

I can't quite understand what this means?
I guess they got a bunch of (largely comedic) actors that are a good fit and they've worked with before - there's an interview somewhere with the creator of it about how they made it if you want to find out more.

The whistle-blower was male in real life, for example.

Do you think that they should have taken the same approach as Ch5's Anne Boleyn then @YorkshireTrailRunner?
