To be really annoyed about my cooker being dumped?

Basically, we sold our flat to some of DH's close friends.

We included some of the contents in the sale. We had a freestanding cooker in there, which was pretty new and we agreed to leave behind.

Anyway, long story short, the house we were going to buy with a built-in cooker fell through and so we ended up taking the cooker with us when we moved. BUT I left behind an older cooker in it's place, it used to belong to my grandmother who died a few years ago and had sentimental value to me.

I've just found out the "friends" who bought the house have dumped the cooker because apparently it broke! I can't believe it. How dare they junk my stuff, particularly when it means something to me, without asking?

When we sold our first flat in 1984 I left a rather nice pair of blue and white curtains in our bedroom - when the buyer asked if we were leaving them I said how much I liked them, but we were leaving them because they went with the wallpaper.

A couple of years ago we went back to that town and, driving past, I noticed the curtains were still there - 22 years later!

Now I'm wondering if the buyer thought I'd come round & beat her up if she got rid of them.....

When dh and I moved 3 years ago we had to leave the apple tree which had been given to us as a wedding present from my best friend. DH drove past a few weeks ago and the apple tree wasn't there. Apparently it had been blown down in a storm. I am furious that they didn't even try to get it replanted, let alone let me know so I could have had it transported 150miles to our new place. And what's more, they have NEVER in 3 years even offered to send me my apples each year. I mean, really...

Would you have paid the bill to get it fixed? Be honest.

I would have been fecking livid, spending all day moving her stuff, with no end in sight, leaving hardly any time for me to move my stuff and to cap it all the cooker I saw and thought I was getting has been replaced with an old wreck because the selfish cow took the decent one for herself and expected me to cook on this heap of crap. Dump it I would have thrown it through her bloody window.

Actually, the window box outside the flat I sold a while back is now full of weeds the bastards!!!! and do you know what else, she replaced my shitty green carpet with a very dark grey one that is not very nice and I don't even think it was professionaly fitted. I wonder if they kept the mould in the bathroom, oh how I loved that mould .
