aibu to ask a stupid question here, posting for traffic
following a serious operation occasionally I wake up in extreme pain and need crutches to walk. It’s a spasm, I guess, and takes 24 hours to die down. Most days I do not need the crutches.
Later in March I’m taking a holiday - short haul BA flight - I don’t want to be abroad without the crutches, but I doubt I’ll actually need them to board the flight and I won’t appear in any way injured or disabled.
How do I tackle taking the crutches with me?!
Ive been discharged from NhS physio (because I’m “better”) and I doubt they’d help. Do I need a GP letter to be permitted to take crutches as carry on?
if I take the crutches as carry on am I still allowed another carry on bag?
They are regular NHS issue crutches, the kind that can be telescoped to be shorter, but still are too big for my suitcase so I could check them in as oversized baggage?
