To want to spend my 33rd birthday solo and make it really nice?

It’s on a Wednesday (18th March). I don’t feel like organising a big thing this year, I’d actually quite like to romanticise the day for myself.

Any ideas for lovely solo birthday rituals?

A walk on the beach is always good for me. A museum visit? Pub lunch?

A spa morning, lovely lunch, trip to the cinema

Browse round some decent shops, lunch, cinema, Chinese takeaway.

Depends where you are and in no particular order: shopping ( non essential 🙂) , lunch or afternoon tea in a fancy place, museum or NT place, theatre or cinema, day pass for a gym.

I would go for a nice walk, lunch and afternoon spa, but think about what you like and do that.

Some people might enjoy spending the whole day in bed, on the sofa, or in a hotel binge watching a series with a takeaway.

A nice breakfast somewhere maybe (not Tescos !) I would then mooch round the pretty little shops and take in the Cathedral .Or spend the day at a NT property with a slap up lunch and some goodies from the shop .When home a nice take away, or suchlike .followed by a BD cake and a good film on Netflix nibbles and some champagne of course . Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday. Brilliant idea and have an amazing day.

Happy birthday when it comes.
I've done this a few times over the years, especially when my birthday falls during the week when the schools are in. If I'm at home for it I'll pick somewhere nice to go for a relaxing brunch then go for a nice wander around a museum/botanic gardens/zoo/safari park. Head home and either buy something special to cook for dinner or a nice takeaway and spend the evening chilling with my pets watching a good movie.

If I am in another city for my birthday I'll so similar during the day but find something to go to at night, comedy club are generally my go too as it's not unusual for folk to go to them on their own. If I'm not in a social mode though I'll go to the cinema or theatre show.

I've done theatre shows by myself a few times, including a matinée on my birthday.

(I try to give off an air of an international woman of mystery!)

I'd go to a nice restaurant for 3 course meal and a bottle of wine all to myself. The go home amd have a relaxing bath and lay in bed watching or reading stuff I like, with some nice chocolate. Sounds very nice actually.
