AIBU for hating that my husband eats this way!?

Lighthearted - mostly

So my husband has this (very annoying) habit (at least for me) of whenever he is eating anything like a soup or a stew with some sort of bread or cracker he will put said soup or stew ON the bread or cracker and then bite into it.

It doesn’t matter how stupidly big or ridiculously tiny the piece of bread is he will still try to put the semi liquid food on it. Often, but not always, dripping off the sides or even onto his fingers.

Why can’t he just either dip it, put the bread in the soup or simply take a bite of the bread and then have a spoonful of soup right after!!?

So, AIBU?

YABU.
I would never dip straight in. No one wants soggy bread!

I do this. And I have butter on the 'carrier' which means the sloppy liquid item falls off and so does the butter.

I persevere nonetheless.

LTB!

That would be my advice to the husband who is being expected to conform to how Her Indoors says it should be done!

Did he only start doing this after you married him?
Or did he do it before, if so then you only have yourself to blame lol.

True… should’ve called the wedding off! Luckily we didn’t serve soup 😂
