Wellness?

Came across an ad for a local wellness event which stated one might ‘move and manifest’ in the search for spiritual enlightenment.

It doesn’t look like a Harry Potter themed morning where we learn how to apparate dynamically but what else could learning to manifest (ie appear) actually mean.

Hey Chief I might be wrong but AIBU to think that this wellness malarkey is a load of old codswallop?

I think wellness is really important. Because it's just really doing the things you can do yourself to take care of your physical and mental health. Healthy diet, appropriate excercise, enough rest/relaxation and stimulation.
These events are often just about the relax and stimulation parts of that. Teaching people how to be calm and manage anxiety and encouraging them towards a positive outlook by having goals. I think they do tend to enter scam territory when charlatans try to convince people there's some mystical forces at play and that there's some special powers to be unlocked for the right fee. Which is a shame if it leads to the useful stuff being tarred with the same brush.

I think "healthy" began to sound boring, worthy, and like you might have to do something dull.

Repackaging it as 'wellness' means you can include anything that feels nice or indulgent that you can package in pastel colours with white lettering.

Maybe I'd try sitting on my backside and manifesting instead?!
