Is ds4 being unreasonable?

He's 6 weeks old. normally he's quite fussy in the evenings. I arrange a night out with SIL, leaving dh in charge. So ds4 sleeps for 5 hours, does not drink the first bottle of EBM that he would "definitely" need, never mind the second one that he "might" need, no he just allowed dh to have a nice evening, surfing the net when he never does that for me and I spend most of my days attending to his every whim!

You poor thing. He is TOTALLY unreasonable!

nametaken · 16/06/2008 12:59

sounds like every husband I've ever met

EffiePerine · 16/06/2008 13:00

Sounds like you need to go out more often

Love2bake · 16/06/2008 13:01

Mine always did the same thing when I went out - so annoying!

TheTeaspoonLady · 16/06/2008 13:01

Ground him, the cheeky young man!

EffiePerine · 16/06/2008 13:01

oh and don't forget to praise DH (though gritted teeth) for doing such a great job (while planning the next night out!)

Flibbertyjibbet · 16/06/2008 13:03

Ah yes but wait till he is old enough (as mine are now) to answer the question:

'While mummy was out, was daddy on the computer?'

'yes mummy'

said by my two yesterday just after dp had told me he'd been really busy doing lego with them

Twiglett · 16/06/2008 13:04

this is, I reckon, because dh was in another room and not responding to every squeal AND because baby couldn't smell you

chipmonkey · 16/06/2008 20:07

He was actually in the same room, but obviously not smelling of breastmilk!

Your ds is in league with my ds! Did exactly the same thing 2 weeks ago. Slept longer than he has ever slept, Dp had nice quiet night in. And my night out was a bit crap. And I had to chuck out the precious EBM cos it had been taken out of the fridge and left on the side all night (during that hot spell).

Elmosgirl · 16/06/2008 20:53

I feel your pain, I left my two under 2's with DP last weekend, secretly hoping they would play up a teeny tiny bit just so he could see what I deal with every day...newborn refusing to be put down, toddler having tantrums, needing constant attention..but nooooooooooooooooo both impeccibely behaved children, life is just not fair.
