I’m working full time at the moment and have 2 young children. I am wanting to pick up something in the evenings when the kids are in bed. A university degree. Am I mad? I don’t know what in or what I want to do with it. I have got an urge and want to pursue it? Any ideas?
I know I can do this as I have done a level 3 in something else last year.

It’s a lot so consider what you want to do carefully. I am currently doing one and working full time but my kids are older. However both have SEN so actually still need me quite a lot but not in the same way younger kids do.
you have to be very self disciplined and a degree is a huge jump from a level 3 in terms of work and self reading etc. however AI is a very helpful tool for degrees these days as long as you know to use it, most unis encourage its usage properly.

just choose something you can use if you are going to spend all that time. Both degrees I have done (social work and now psychology) are something I have to have a degree for to practice. I wouldn’t do something that I could learn a different way or didn’t have to have as they are expensive.

I was actually thinking social work. I would love to do this. I was wanting to go into social work to help children since being at school. I was told I would never make it and so proved them right and gave up but it’s always been something that I wanted to do. If I did a degree in social care would this allow me go into social care as a career? Hats off to you 👏 you sound like you’re doing amazing. Well done!
