to ask when you go to GP for low-level things?

I have a list of things that are not life threatening but I could probably do with some actual medical advice on. e.g. a pile, some stress incontinence and some mild psoriasis as well as being a tad overweight.
None of these things are a prob atm but will make me susceptible in the future I think. I also wonder if I am developing pre diabetes
I feel like if I had private healthcare this would have been picked up by an annual check or whatever but as I only go to the GP with acute problems I'm not sure what to do about these things?
Please be kind.

A pile + mild psoriasis you could probably get some advice from a pharmacist for? For being a tad overweight the GP is probably quite limited on what they can do other than link you to the NHS healthy eating guides. I would possibly book an appointment about the stress incontinence though - have you exhausted other options like pelvic floor exercises etc?

If you are over 40 you can get an NHS Health Check which would cover some of the things you mention, if you don't have pre-existing health issues. You should have got an invite for one, but you might not have done and can often sign up for one instead:

You can also get a health check privately without needing a health insurance plan, where you just pay up front for the appointment, if that's something you're in a financial position to do.

Otherwise, I think it's fine to make a non-urgent appointment about any of the other specific conditions you have, if they're not being treated currently.

I wouldn't go for any of the things you mentioned unless I've tried self-help and it didn't work. But if you are concerned, get yourself seen. (I don't understand the pre-diabetes concern, ie if you've got any symptoms or it's just a thought)

Stress incontinence could be seen by physio, in which case see if your GP has one linked to them or pay privately.

Piles I think you can probably talk to the pharmacist about. What have you already tried to lose weight?

As a pp said if you’re over 40 you can book for a health check.
