Kids should not be in pubs after 6pm?

Just that really. Evening time in the pub is for adult relaxation and socialising, not somewhere for meeting the needs of young children. I just want to chill out and enjoy a glass of wine without an infant screaming from a buggy, kids on screens or toddlers running about. Yes, I am having a bit of a moan but the last few times I have been in pubs in my area there have been kids still knocking about well past 8pm with parents barely keeping them in check. Can we have pubs in the evening as adult only spaces please.

It depends, if it's a standing up drinking pup it's not suitable for kids, if it's a sitting down eating and drinking pub then children should be allowed to eat with their parents. I don't think this is a yes/no question. And the age of the children comes into it toddlers at 10pm probably not 14 year olds at 10pm why not?

YANBU. I was a 'pub kid' whenever I was with my Dad and hated it, wish we'd been banned. We were also just left to crack on and amuse each other whilst they knocked back pint after pint. Even now I can't stand going in pubs.

No children and no dogs. Latter fine if it’s a country pub/ remote/ on a dog walking route etc as they tend to attract responsible dog owners who can control their dogs. It’s the urban pubs with dog owners who don’t understand that THEIR life changed when they got a dog, not everyone else’s. I even saw a woman walking her dog up and down the aisles of a supermarket last week - ffs 🙄

Exactly the same here, not to mention the traumatic experiences that are bound to happen when children are only partially supervised around intoxicated strangers.

I was leered at and grabbed but thankfully nothing worse. A friend of mine was not so lucky, and our dads were in the same establishment.

I don’t think mixing alcohol and children generally is a wise move, for me it’s a safeguarding thing.
