I couldn’t see a thread on this so apologies if one already exists!

Has anyone seen the controversy surround FridaBaby and their choice of packaging?

Full of sexual innuendos? For baby items like thermometer, snot sucker bulb thing and some more items they make?

one such quote is on a baby thermometer pictured next to a baby’s bare bottom with the words “this is the closest your husbands getting to a threesome”

This isn’t the first time they’ve done some weird shit either, in 2020 they did a SM post photo of a baby with visible nasal discharge on its face. The caption read: “What happens when you pull out too early #nosefrida #dontmove.”

FridaBaby under fire for ‘disgusting’ sexual jokes on packaging, parents call for boycott

The brand drew widespread criticism this week after a viral post highlighted some of the brand's bold marketing choices.

Not just the innuendo implying child sexuality, but addressing packaging with "your husband" really puts the woman in her place doesn't it.

It's a bit of innuendo. I can see why it wouldn't appeal to a lot of people (so I think it's a bit of an odd choice for a brand unless it's a really niche one) but I don't really get the outrage.

Have you seen the one with the photo of a baby showing 'what happens when you pull out too early'?

I honestly agree for all the things that are written on the packaging, like the "fancy a quickie" on the side of one of the boxes, and "I get turned on easily" on an electronic item (maybe a humidifier, not sure). They are baby products but at the end of the day they are being purchased exclusively by adults and those are just vulgar jokes, not sexualising children. The social media marketing however, with the "closest your husband is going to get to a threesome" tagline for a product that is designed to be inserted into a baby's bum (so, saying that you and your husband putting something up your baby's bum is somehow similar to a threesome), and the "when you pull out too soon" under a picture of a baby with snot on their face, is absolutely 100% beyond anything that is reasonable. The inclusion of real children in these ads that are explicitly evoking sexual imagery is very disgusting.
