My third AIBU of the evening

background.
I don't do cooking. DH does the shopping, the planning, the cooking.

DH went out yesterday evening and is feeling a bit tender today.
I'm hungry.
he hasn't provided me with a nice meal.
I can't cook so can't produce anything.
don't wan't nstant stuff (soup/beans/bread)
AIBU to expect DH (who feels a little fragile) to get up abd cook me something nice? (even though it is fathers day)
I did take him to a stately home today.

tis a great big stately home sized wind up with wee men,pinny's,cant-cook-wont-cook-goddess and lots stick that in yer pipe

NigellaTheUndomesticGoddess · 15/06/2008 22:17

what is pathetic about a little role reversal?
I earn the cash - he does the housework. If I did the traditional female stuff and felt fragile i'd still have to do the cooking wouldn't I>?

errr....no. I do the "traditional female stuff" whilst my DH goes out to work and he quite often cooks. He definately would if I was ill/had rubbish day/had lots of other stuff to do.

johnso · 15/06/2008 22:20

Nigella- Don't take any notice of these silly women.
They are just jealous and bitter

lulurose · 15/06/2008 22:22

Nope, not jealous or bitter . Very happy with life as it goes.

ChukkyPig · 15/06/2008 22:24

If he's well enough to go round a stately home then he's well enough to cook your dinner.

If he's not actually vomiting there's no excuse.

And after all how much effort is it for him to fry a spot of fois gras and serve with hand-picked salad leaves?

ScottishMummy · 15/06/2008 22:32

LOL eloquently put.

EvansMrs · 15/06/2008 22:33

and now he' sloped off to bed and i fancy a shag.
will seriously have to look into replacing him.

NigellaTheUndomesticGoddess · 15/06/2008 22:35

bollocks - note to self. remember to change back name after taking the piss elsewhere

You must be lightheaded with hunger, Nigella
Or writhing in agony fron those holes in your thigh

ScottishMummy · 15/06/2008 22:41

LOL

NigellaTheUndomesticGoddess · 15/06/2008 22:46

Flashman · 15/06/2008 22:52

Not unreasonable - if he agrees he cooks, he should cook.
