Sorry to hear this - it must be a worrying time.

Can I ask what you mean by "things thats aline to different cancers"? Is it is typo or do you mean common symptoms that can indicate cancer? Would it help to say what his issues were, and what country you're in?

I was in a similar situation a few weeks ago. Easier said than done but don't panic, the results may be what you think but equally it might be something innocuous or that he needs further bloods.

Try not to panic - I can't think of any symptoms that couldn't potentially be a sign of some sort of cancer or another, there could be a myriad of other explanations.

There's a lot of inconsistency about how they deliver blood test results - my mum's surgery make her have a special appointment, mine just ring or write.

The fact that it's a gp appointment rather than straight to hospital is a good sign. I wouldn't read too much into the results coming so quickly either - sometimes they just do, it depends what else they've got on.

Obviously no-one can tell you it'll all be fine, but at this stage I wouldn't be too worried.

Please try not to worry - it's good that he has got the results back quickly and doesn't necessarily mean that it's bad news. Lots of symptoms could point to cancer but can also mean lots of other innocuous things too. I know it's going to be an anxious time until his appointment on Thursday, my advice is to keep busy and distract yourselves as much as possible until then. I hope you get good news 💐

Speed doesn't necessarily mean anything. What country are you in op?

I had a suspicious mole removed yesterday after 1 week post hospital dermatology appointment when I'd been told it could be 4-6 weeks.

I was initially a bit scared too until my husband pointed out they've just been able to get me in at a local clinic to me that has a space rather than wait for the hospital list.

It could be a huge amount of other important but none malicious reasons, things like anaemia they like to treat quickly for example and anaemia can present symptoms that if you Google could indicate cancer.
