I love anything Lindt. But M&S has an interesting range this year. The biscuit egg and the custard cream eggs are intriguing. Waitrose has some flat eggs, which just aren’t the same.

Oh and mini eggs are still top tier.

Unfortunately not just Cadbury - the majority of chocolate manufacturers are using palm oil and palm fat because it is so cheap. I support Orangutan Appeal UK and there’s no hope for the man of the forest with this monoculture. The workers stone/ shoot/stab any orangs that go into the fields.

Oh that's awful!

A Thornton’s Viennese Truffle one. The egg is that blend of white and milk chocolate that Viennese truffles are costed in and it has some truffles in it too. It’s a real nostalgia thing for me, all my family loved Viennese truffles

JazzyAmbs · 08/02/2026 23:35

Sainsbury's biscuit one looks good...

I don't normally have an Easter egg, but was looking at the posh ones in Aldi the other day. It's meant to be better chocolate (Master Roth), I can't remember the exact flavours, but there were some interesting ones. The type where the flavours are in the actual egg shell.

£6.20 for 256g ??
I took this in my local Tesco last week !!!

I think they’ve put the wrong bags on the shelf, it should be for a multipack I think?

Are you lot looking at these for yourselves or for dc? I haven’t had an Easter egg since I was a child! If I want chocolate I’ll buy myself a proper bar of something I guess.
Last year dc1 had a Waitrose pistachio one, dc2 had a Tony’s chocoloney one and dc3 had a hotel chocolat one. I just get them whichever they ask for!

Easter egg chocolate is different to normal chocolate bars. I don’t know why, it just is!

The ones that will be reduced after easter. I scored some of the huge lindt ones last year for very good prices. As in cheaper than buying the bunnies, lindors or bars proper price. And ds gets staff discount.

I buy these every year and really rate them. Best to get them early as often there’s none left two weeks before Easter.

I normally get Twirl or mint aero, but this thread has reminded me I like M&s food, so I'll look there

MissyB1 · 09/02/2026 17:00

I’m going to get my M&S eggs this week I’ve decided, their stock levels for Christmas goodies were dreadful at our local store, so I’m not risking leaving it.

Sunshineandrainbow · 10/02/2026 07:13

@MissyB1 I agree about the m and s stock. Which one are you going to go for? Never had an ester egg from there but this might be the year!

I’m fancying the giant buttons one, I do like their chocolate.

Katemax82 · 10/02/2026 07:35

I normally get Aldi ones with cuddly toys included as part of my kids eggs. One of them, a big one and loads of artsxand crafts from aldi

Londonrach1 · 10/02/2026 07:39

People actually eat tony chocolate. We got some for Christmas a year ago and the taste test from 9 people were bin job so we binned the rest of them. Not looked yet but do love a simple daily milk buttons one but they don't taste as good as they used too. Maybe an after eight one.

Shoxfordian · 10/02/2026 07:46

I'm looking for an unusual one for my dh, joining in to see any suggestions

I always like the hotel chocolat ones

Stickytoffeetartt · 10/02/2026 08:11

I've bought and eaten the kids Cadbury's buttons eggs, everyone has different opinions. I think they're the nicest about. Have tried some fancy ones which don't compare.
Will probably repurchase about 10 more before Easter ☺️

Tangled123 · 10/02/2026 08:18

I’m not buying them for myself anymore, the prices have gotten ridiculous.

Sunshineandrainbow · 11/02/2026 17:45

Always buy cadburys but didn't quite realise the implications.

I will get aldi or m and s
