I am extremely careful about who looks after my DCs when I go out. I have friends who have been abused by their babysitters a child of that age cannot tell you if this has happened.

I would definitely not have my ex look after my 8 mnth old if I thought they would leave her somewhere without CONSULTING me first. He put his needs before hers. You are afterall the main carer and he should let you know if he has anyone helping him.

i know both my dcs have never stayed with anyone but family. my mum dad or nan and grandad. i dont like this like jamesandthegiant said shwe is not luggage or a dog.
the day before i even sent him a text with her full routine on. only to get a text yeserda to say ha bab had a blody sleep. i said well you tell e as gave you her routine.

I think this is really serious..it is neglect, even if it is a one-off. I would limit it to daytime contact where you know where she is.

Even then, I would have concerns about it. Am fairly sure what courts or social services would say.

I know your dd needs contact with her father, but I think atm you need to be looking at supervised contact

lulumama · 15/06/2008 17:29

in that case i can absolutely say you have every right to be livid.

him leaving the baby with someone who smacks their own baby is not on

i would seek legal advice and certainly not allow him any more overnight stays, or indeed any much unsupervised contact at the moment

hayley2u · 15/06/2008 21:05

ok so she home , she came home at 3 with none of her bottles or bag of clothes i sent her with, but at least she home.
so do i definatly not let her go agin as want to do right thing

Speak to a lawyer and until that tell you ex you are not giving him access ubtil it's sorted. \\he does not have a right to see his children, he has a parental rsponsibilty to them. There is a HIGE difference and he needs to realise that. She is a precious baby - YOURS and you are being responsible putting her first. I agree with kames and the ginat banana. BTW does your ex have a proper/perm address where he takes your dc's? If not you can refuse him access overnight , no argument. Feel for you. My dd been hideously sick for 3 days, ex insisted on taking her today altho she was crying - fed her chick nuggets n chips. Hey, she was vomiting water yesterday. She's gone to bed crying cos of a sore tummy now.

hayley2u · 15/06/2008 21:30

arh poor thing. my ds dad bit like that if ds does not want to go he will act as if were making them. tell you im staying away from men in future lol.
thats a good idea going to see a lawyer. am i allowed to say that he does not give baby to anyone else while he has her or has to let me know

stick to your guns hayley... you know what is best for your little one, at least she's home safely now.

earlier today i had told him he was not having her again but now i have calmed down a whole lot, if he d let me know he was going out i would have kepy dd. just that i got a message to say i seen x dp outr last night so horrified worried about my dd.
i have calmed down a lot since then but still wished he d told me who had my baby.
