To run away for a night?

Family of 3. Dh is long-term sick and qualifies as disabled. DS is 10 and is a good child, but lacks initiative really. He will step over a basket of his own clean clothes until ordered to put them away, for example.
I work full-time, long hours, and my job keeps the whole circus afloat. I do most of the daily housework etc too, although we do have a weekly cleaner.

I'm fed up of it all. DH is getting on my last nerve, I'm being unfairly impatient with DS, and I nearly had a stupid quarrel with my boss tonight.

I'm highly tempted to take next Friday off and book myself into a hotel somewhere nice down the coast, just for some time to myself. I can afford it.

Will I do it?

Do it!!! They can manage without you for one night. Get yourself some lovely new pj's and fancy bubble bath. Book a room somewhere with room service and a minibar and have a lovely relaxing night 😊

Absolutely 👍

It's not "running away", it's just being a normal, independent adult. Do it!
