Just that really.

Any ideas?

Asking for a friend, I've no idea. Name changed since its not for me. She has qualifications, cares for her elderly parents and so can only earn a small amount whilst she claims carers allowance. Also, she says she like to keep brain engaged.

Online PA?

Any particular company recruit for such a small amount of hours?

I've taken a look with her and even part time in 20 plus.

Can you still get free lance copy writing jobs? I knew people who did that back in the day.

Online tutoring?

Not sure.

I believe she's thinking more routine admin and says she's tried local and county council and NHS admin but all were minimum of more hours than she can work.

I saw a tiny admin job advertised at my local church recently, I think it was two mornings, so 8-10 hours.
I think it was from home. Minimum wage of course.

I think your friend would have to look far and wide, maybe asking on local noticeboards, I think the jobs exist but maybe not for big organisations.

Would she consider approaching local small businesses. A friend of mine does a few hours every week imputing invoices into the bookkeeping package of a local business which has a couple of branches. They scan the invoices and email them to her she imputs them in the system.

Thank you. I'll suggest this.

Good idea. I'll pass that idea on to. Thanks 😊

They've now increased the amount you can earn without losing carers allowance, to the equivalent of16 hours at NMW which if she's able to work that many hours, might give her a wider choice of jobs.

Of course if she is offered a job that pays a few pence an hour over NMW she'll need to tell them to reduce the hours or pay so she doesn't lose CA.
