Your husband when out having drinks with a female friend had a picture of his head touching her head and she posted it to facebook.

Yes I would.

bonnnn · 27/01/2026 14:52

Yep

DierdreBarlow · 27/01/2026 14:52

Too bloody right

Scotty22 · 27/01/2026 14:55

It depends, was he out just with the female friend or part of a group of friends. Is she a friend of both of you or just him? Is her partner a friend too?

ItsOnlyHobnobs · 27/01/2026 14:58

Depends.

If it was a friendship of many years and if I had any suspicions about them prior to the picture.

Just with her, she’s single

Having his head touching her head for a photo wouldn’t worry me in itself but actually your update that they were out on their own is more potentially problematic. How long have they been friends, any feelings you’re aware of?

TheTortiePuffinNeedsHerBreakfast · 27/01/2026 15:06

She fancies him.

Furlane · 27/01/2026 15:07

As in a selfie with the sides of their heads touching so they’d get in the photo? No, I have a lot of pictures like this with my male and female friends.

With them facing each other and foreheads touching, yeah, that would be odd.

Coconutter24 · 27/01/2026 15:08

A new female friend or a friend he’s had for a while?

BillieWiper · 27/01/2026 15:09

No. It's a common kind of selfie pose isn't it? Heads together? It's not sexual, it's just so you both fit in the frame of the pic?

There would need to be more to it. Which there must be?

Beakthrough · 27/01/2026 15:12

I'm imagining heads touching whist in conversation across a table, absolutely yes I would mind.

A laughing arm round the shoulder selfie where heads touch might be less bothersome, but it still shows lack of respect imo, especially if they were out just the two of them.

MajorProcrastination · 27/01/2026 15:15

It would depend on the picture! My husband's female friends are also my friends and his male friends are my friends. I reckon I could look through photos from nights in pubs and bars where any mixture of us have our heads squished closely in together to fit into a selfie.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 27/01/2026 15:15

I would assume as she posted the photo she has a bit of a crush, the head touching in a photo happens, why is he out drinking with her? Is she a longterm friend? If she is, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Jhm88 · 27/01/2026 15:16

TheTortiePuffinNeedsHerBreakfast · 27/01/2026 15:06

She fancies him.

And the feeling is probably mutual.

Beakthrough · 27/01/2026 15:17

I've just had a quick look through my pics. I have lots of selfies with all sorts of friends, where we're leaning together to fit in the picture, heads are sometimes very close, but actually the only ones where heads are touching, is a very drunken one with my best friend in the world and DP.

I think instinctively we do respect the personal space of people we're not physically close to.

NewYearNewMee · 27/01/2026 15:18

Depends - female friend of 20+ years and just a random selfie to fit their heads in? No problem. New female friend of recent finding and a cosy side of face touching? Fuming 😂

Beakthrough · 27/01/2026 15:20

I have a male friend who is go out with just the two of us once in a while. I do sometimes post where we are and what we're doing. I think I started that just to be sure his wife knew! I never post any pictures of us together as a "couple", that would seem disrespectful to his wife.

Wellthisisdifficult · 27/01/2026 15:25

Some of these answers are bonkers. I often go out with one of my male friends, sometimes alone sometimes in a group (often I’m the only female) lots of pictures with arms round each other heads touching. Go to other cities and abroad. Never shagged or snogged any of them, never will. They’re my mates. Are people this insecure???

MyMilchick · 27/01/2026 15:36

What's the history with them? How long have they known each other? Where did they meet? Do you know her? Would you ever get an invite out in her company too?

Wakemeupinapril · 27/01/2026 15:37

I'd be worried about nits....

RawBloomers · 27/01/2026 16:20

On it's own, no. It's the sort of thing I've seen between lots of platonic friends, my DH would do that with some male friends too. It doesn't have to mean anything more.

But if I had suspicions anyway, this would probably encourage them. Especially if your DH is not likely to do similar with other friends.

Beakthrough · 27/01/2026 16:21

Was it this one?

To ask if you would be annoyed if
PopcornKitten · 27/01/2026 17:03

I’d need to know a bit more tbh.
I'm assuming you think the photo looked “couply” rather than two people trying to get in the picture.
FWIW I would not be impressed if it looked like a couple shot.
I actually had people message me after seeing a picture of DH with another woman. (At first glance they thought it was me and the scenario was one where you would expect it to be me and him.)

Whythough778999 · 27/01/2026 17:49

They are also comments on her posts saying how nice she looks in dresses. Using an x constantly
