Is this still concerning even if hes on ttrack slightly ahead in most every oother aspect milestone. He says 10 words unprompted and several after we say it, he loves peekaboo and imma get you, he loves reading with us, will bring us hes toys he finds interesting and wants us to play with, joint attention when playing together and reading, points to pictures in book and recently sometimes will point to ball in book when I ask where is ball. Although He doesnt point or go to ball in real life and rarely points in real life, it's very much he will point when up close to something like a book or a toy that is a circle and square he will point etc. He waves hi, claps when excited and for himself. Loves every type of play will play very differently but with everything puzzles ball pits rings stackers, pretend feeds teddy and me etc

Has anyone else kids experienced similar and if so did it all turn out okay? :3

Do you use his name a lot? It could be that it’s just a boring repetitive sound to him unless you sing it? Maybe try to use it less but with more of a reward for responding? Having said that he sounds just great and not of any concern from what you’ve said.

He probably can tell the difference between the times you are “testing” him to see if he responds and normal interactions. And he won’t bother to respond to the “testing” because it is unnatural and he is busy doing something else.

in other words, he is absolutely fine and don’t worry.

He sounds absolutely fine for a 16 month old, please try not to worry. It sounds like you're doing all the right things with him!
