Invisibobble?

Posting here for traffic. I have thick curly hair but I straighten it. I need to put it up in a bun or ponytail for work. Are invisibobble's any good? I’ve been looking but they're a bit pricey.

I think the fabric stretchy bands are better to be honest. I don’t rate invisibobble at all.

I have thick curly hair and they slide right out of my hair. In fact, none of their hair pin or bobble products work for me. :( There's a lot of dupes now you can try so you don't spend too much of they don't work for you.

Yes same. I don’t have thick or curly hair but also find those bobbles get tangled easily.

Do they stay in all day without falling out?

I bought one once. I didn't like it at all. I prefer just a bog standard elasticated bobble

I find them ok, but I’ve actually just stumbled across a technique for doing a pony tail that holds all day and it actually works!

I just use a normal hair band rather than invisibobble, but you hold your hair as you normally would to start point. Do one hope over, then another, then hold the band, grab about a third of hair at the top section of ponytail and hoop just around that piece, then a final loop around the whole lot. I’ve done this a few times and it really stays firm. Hope my instructions make sense.

They do a grip, like a kirby grip or bobby pin, and my very thick hair broke it! So not sure if bobble will last.

Yes. I have quite fine hard which gets tangled.

I find they tangle too, I prefer Aldi’s own brand silk scrunchies.

Mostly, yes.
I tend to put a velvet scrunchie over the top just to make sure.
They do lose their springy-ness if you have them on really tight, tho.
I tend to have a lower "bun" and they work well for that. High ponytails/bun need readjusting - but I don't know of anything that's going to defy gravity and not pull all your hair out.
You do have to be careful when you take them out.

Wear mine all the time for work. Hold a bun up very well. My hair is wavy air dried, thick and long.

I use the invisibobble style ones, I've had some from boots and some from Sainsbury's. I find they work really well for my thick curly hair. My DH has thin curly hair and uses fabric stretchy ones. I think it's a case of trial and error, I'd try cheaper ones than the branded invisibobbles.

They've got some invisbobble stuff in home bargains (or they did a couple of months ago) so might be worth checking there

I had thick curly hair and invisibobbles were great but I find they stretched out too far too quickly. I couldn't use the vast majority of normal bobbles as my hair is way too thick for them, they often snapped or I couldnt get them round my hair more than once. I then cut my hair really short and solved the whole problem 😂
